Seven of us met at Fish Creek parking lot at 9:00 am, and by 9:15 am were walking up the road to Temple Lodge. We continued on the trail to Skoki, turning off at the trail to Hidden Lake. Shortly after walking through the busy Hidden Lake campground, we turned up the cutline mentioned by Bob Spirko in his trip report. This proved to be a nice easy way to walk through a beautiful larch forest (the larches are now in prime condition) to treeline. From there we followed the scree slopes to the summit ridge, which has one interesting scrambly bit just before the summit, at which we arrived about 1:00 pm. There was quite a bit of smoke obscuring the views on this day, but it was surprisingly warm. After a 45 minute lunch, we began our descent, which required the group to stay close together due to rockfall hazard through the narrowest part of the scree slope. We arrived back at the cars at 4:45 pm.
