Despite the heavy westbound traffic, the parking lot at Sibald Lake had lots of room. The trail was mostly dry, with some muddy sections that were easily circumvented. On the upper portions of the trail shooting stars were beginning to displace the crocuses, so spring is finally happening. Much to our surprise, there is now a picnic table at the top on the reservation side, but since it was located on the east side, most people opted to sit on the west side with a view of the still very snowy mountains.
