Blue skies and limited wind initially made for a nice start to our hike. The pavement part of the tour was clear of snow while most of the gravel pathways were also clear. The Bow River loops were soggy in places from runoff but the gravel surface meant very limited mud. Cyclists we talked to confirmed the closure of the Glenbow trail at the Narrows and another group of hikers confirmed they had seen an eagle probably close to the Narrows area.

We were unable to access the Yodel loop trail and viewpoint, as the ranch were running cattle in this area. I had hoped to get a photo from this location, but perhaps another time. Thanks to participants: Jeannette and Janet for joining me and the lively conversation during the trip.

Unfortunately, the one photo I did take appears to be lost - so no photos.
