The cloudy start gave way to blue skies and no more than a light wind, perfect for a long walk above treeline. We were at Burstall Pass by 10:30 and saw our ridge emerge from dramatic low banks of cloud. After the typical grunt uphill, we enjoyed a stellar ridgewalk with 360 degree views and sat down for a long lunch. We meandered back towards Burstall Pass and sat down for another extended break in the sun, surrounded by colourful alpine tundra. Back at the cars in 7 3/4 hours. Thanks to Jane and Audrey for sharing the day, from coordinator Ingrid.
