The meeting place and time for a trip is at the discretion of the Coordinator who calls the trip. The more common meeting places are shown below.

Please note that the posted time for a trip is the departure time. If you arrive at the meeting place at that time, you will see tail-lights disappearing in the distance! To ensure that there is sufficient time to arrange car pools, plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before the departure time. Shouldice Arena (NW)

Used for trips to Banff National Park, and Kananaskis Country north of Highwood Pass. Meet at the south end of parking lot next to the arena. On weekends/holidays Oct-Mar, use Home Road commuter lot below.

Home Road commuter lot

250 metres south of Shouldice Arena parking. Used instead of Shouldice Arena on weekends during winter hockey season October through March.

Heritage Park (SW)

Used for trips to Kananaskis Country south of Highwood Pass.

On weekends use this location close to 14th Street:
During the work week the east side of the lot is dedicated to Rockyview hospital staff, so the mid-week meeting place is further west towards the reservoir near the big wooden H:

Richmond Square - Canadian Tire (SW)

Park on south side of entrance road closest to 51st Street.

Valley Ridge Drive NW

Used for trips to Banff National Park, and Kananaskis Country north of Highwood Pass. Access from westbound TransCanada Highway, Valley Ridge exit; at the roundabout north on Valley Ridge Blvd, then left at stop sign for Valley Ridge Drive. Parking is on-street just west of bus stop.

Transit access:
Nearest stop #7469, Valley Ridge Drive just east of Valley Ridge Blvd., then walk 200 metres west.


TransCanada and Hwy 22

Used for picking up members who live west of Calgary on trips to Banff National Park, and Kananaskis Country north of Highwood Pass.


Canmore pickup - Meander trail Parking

Pick up spot in Canmore for Banff and west: Meander Trail parking lot on Harvie Heights Road. From Calgary take Exit 86 and go straight through the interchange intersection, drive another 900 metres to the parking lot on the north side of road. Returning from the west take the Harvie Heights exit 83.


Red Deer Lake school

Except on school days, can be used for pickups and carpool parking on trips to Kananaskis Country south of Highwood Pass and in Sheep and Elbow Valleys. From Calgary, drive west on Hwy 22X to traffic light at 53rd Street SW (Calgary), turn south on 112 St.W (Foothills County) for 650 metres, school is on the right.


Red Deer Lake United Church

Except on Sundays, can be used for pickups and carpool parking on trips to Kananaskis Country south of Highwood Pass and in Sheep and Elbow Valleys. From Calgary, drive west on Hwy 22X to 53rd Street traffic light, turn left (south) then left (east) on Spruce Meadows Green SW (parallels eastbound 22X) for 500 metres to Church entrance. Please park no more than 12 vehicles on the north side of the parking lot.


Rosemont Hall

Used for club meetings and programs.
