Our reward for a hard and intense slog up the trail was the fabulous and dramatic view, of the peaks off the ridge.
While trying to recruit participants, I was turned down with the refrain, "I don't hike on the weekends".
We saw good evidence to justify that stance.
Yet people were enjoying themselves and that's great. That makes a good day too.
The trail is slightly over braided (a kind way to describe it ).
I think King Creek Ridge is over due for a Prairie Mountain style make over. I won't hold my breath.
Thanks to a great group of enthusiastic hikers who joined me on the hike.
