We headed off on the trail at 9 am with the aim of getting most of the climbing done in the cool morning air. The Elbow River was sufficiently low that we were able to wade across directly from the parking lot, which shaved off the about 2 km of walking. The trail was in good condition and the weather warmed up to 25C by mid-day with some smoke haze appearing in the afternoon. Wading across the river again at the end of the day was very refreshing! Total distance 14.2 km with an elevation gain of 782 m, Thanks to Bill, Jim, Gary, Nancy, Susan, Aldis, Cordula, Jeannette, Clifton, Cristina, John, Kate, Tracy for joining me for a very enjoyable day John c/s
