Bald Eagle Peak 164660 Scramble on 21-Aug-2026

Jenny says I always say this, but I really mean it - great group to scramble with today! I am grateful for the folks I've been scrambling with for all my trips this year.

None of the group had done the alternate creek route before and while going late August vs. June meant the waterfalls were dry and the pools were more like puddles, it also meant the scrambling in the creek, and on the ramp below the summit was on dry rock so easier to navigate. We were able to stick right to the ridgeline once up through the forest and switchbacks - always nicer than the trail slightly lower.
