We started out as the smoke was clearing from the top of nihahi ridge. The water level at the first crossing was about 10 cm below my knee and the other water crossings could be done with dry feet. Although there was moderate smoke we were able to enjoy the hike in comfortable temperatures, low winds, and muted sunshine. All in all, a very pleasant day in the mountains with a very pleasant group. Participants: Alda, Jeannette, John, Andrew, Laura, Monica, Pat, Jenny, Alex
