Baldy south peak GR 373520 via Baldy Pass Scramble on 18-Jul-2026

It was a hot, windy, and smoky day. It was nice to get out in the mountains but the smoke and wind prevented us from reaching south baldy peak. We stopped a little short, had lunch protected from the wind, and made our way back down to the cars. We got in 10 km and 700 m vertical and were satisfied with that.
