Powderface Ridge 515344 Trail hike on 12-Jul-2026

We had a very nice hike up to Powderface Ridge. Temperature was nice, with the cooling breeze. There were lots of varied flowers.

When we reached the ridge, the wind gusts were too strong to continue....I took a quick picture peaking out from behind the cairn to give me some shelter, then we retreated to a very nice lunch spot on the lee side of the ridge.

We had intended to walk down the ridge and cut down through the grassy hillside to the main trail, but the strong wind deterred us, so we returned the way we came.

Thanks to Norman and Sarah for joining me from coordinator Barb. Thanks to Norm for some of the pictures.
