Healy Pass, Eohippus Lake, Simpson Pass Trail hike on 10-Jul-2026

What a beautiful day! The flowers were spectacular: yellow glacier lilies and buttercups; white spring beauty, pasqueflower, globeflower, and marsh marigold; and some pink accents from bog laurel and paintbrush. Everyone was keen to extend the trip to Eohippus Lake, and for long periods of time we travelled without feeling the need to talk, just enjoying the rhythm of a long walk and the sensory experience. About 26.5 km in 8.25 hours.
Participants: Ulrike, Donna, Ingrid (coordinator), Deborah
