Gap Peak Scramble on 9-Jul-2026

Participants: Sim, Jack, John, Jenny, Matthew

Not the most exciting or scenic scramble, but with the hotter weather, it was great to get out and do this close and partly shaded scramble before the temperature hit the high of 28. What a strong and fast group! I could barely keep up, so was a good cardio test for me as we finished the route in just under 6 hours. Back to the cars by 2:30 avoiding the heat for most of the ascent, which was a definite plus for everyone as I can be very whiney and cranky in hot conditions. *for anyone hiking in this area in the coming days, pack lots of bug spray!
