Mt Burke Trail hike on 9-Jun-2026

We headed off from the trailhead at 10 am under cloudy skies which were supposed to give us some sunny breaks later in the day. The trail was in great shape with no muddy sections and just a few lingering snow patches. No need for gaiters or icers. We reached the summit around 12:30 pm for lunch. We didn’t linger long as there was a gentle, but cool, wind blowing from the west. We could see the occasional shower around us but managed to avoid getting any serious rain. Total distance was 10.4 km with an altitude gain of 901m. Thanks to Bill, Alda, Jeannette, Jo, Kate, Andrew, Laura, Michele for coming out to join me. John c/s
