The day had been posted as Tyrwhitt Loop, in anticipation of clear sky and fresh grooming on Tyrwhitt, Hydroline and Elk Pass, which seemed to be the regular schedule. Instead, the Elk Pass cloud was looming under a grey sky, and it was the "middle" trails that got done overnight. So, after a group discussion we decided to "follow the grooming" from the visitor centre to Boulton and back for 15 km of fast and fun skiing. This worked out very well, with perfect tracks, no ice, and only a little debris. And, as it turned out, the sun came out soon enough!
