We all agreed that the ski day was a good one. The wax we used was a combo of blues and purples and worked quite well as we climbed up Whisky Jack and made our way across the snowy meadows of Tyrwhitt. After lunch at the Tyrwhitt picnic table, we went to Elk Pass where we encountered a group of costumed women going to the Elk Lakes. It looked like a fun party – sadly we were not invited. The trip back to the car was fast – good snow and grooming with enough cones scattered about that you had to keep your wits about you! Fox Creek and Moraine were much better than I expected. Fox in particular was a wonderland of snow laden trees. The only thing missing from the day was sun, but hey, no sun keeps the snow fresh.
