Participants: Rosanne, Philip, Susan, Nancy, Shirley, Janice, Nardi, Barb, Clifton, Sonja, Teresa, Pam and Coordinator: Jo

With temperatures well above zero and a welcoming party of locals to start our day, we we looked forward to a pleasant and social stroll together.

However, as Alberta weather does, things did not go quite as forecast and the skies changed from cloudy to misty. It's a dilemma in this weather whether to shed layers because you're overheating or keep them on to stay dry! Ramblers are hardy hikers though and we smiled and chatted through multiple stops when announcements were made that "so-and-so is taking off their clothes" ;)

The higher we climbed, the colder, wetter and snowier things got but all was well as the air was calm and atmospheric....until we reached the first summit where the winds were strong, and the views disappeared. No one objected to the idea of sheltering in the forest for lunch and returning from there.

The descent was the exact reverse and once we were part-way down we were once again met by warm temperatures and without the mist so spirits were high and conversations were lively.

Thanks to everyone for a relaxed and enjoyable day and to Teresa for her always-amazing photos.
