Participants: Gary, Susan, Janice, Nardi, Lenard, Jo, Heather, Jenny With the drive out in to Kananaskis Country we had the chance to witness a big herd of elk along the highway, a nice view. Upon the walk in and starting our climb thru the steepness of the trail the sun came over the mountain bringing the heat wave.
The rock garden being the more technical, a good way to test equipment and balance. 3 ladies decided to call this there high point as the rest of us moved towards are summit for the day. This was not a planned deviation, but certainly a nice way to make the trip comfortable for all, enjoyment is the key.
Once reaching the Knob of Old Baldy we turned into a strong cold breeze, a few nice photos, taking in the views, then dropping back a little for the perfect lunch spot. It always reinforces in me how strength and drive comes from the heart, how one can feel contentment and happiness in our lives with what we have. For what we built is just as gratifying, giving pleasure, satisfaction as the so called "1 percenter's". A most beautiful day was enjoyed. The thank all those that joined me to make it happen.....
