Healy Pass - North Horseshoe Off-Trail hike on 16-Oct-2025

Everything pointed to today being the perfect opportunity to do this beautiful ridge walk: the forecast was for sunshine and a not-too-cold temperature, the snow level was still manageable, and it was the first day after the seasonal closure had been lifted. And indeed it was a perfect day! Even the long walk up (and down) the Healy Pass trail was made beautiful by the fresh snow on the trees. We all immensely enjoyed what might have been the last long ridge walk of the season. 21 km/960m in 7 hours. Sorry that all of the photos look more or less the same, but that just proves how staggeringly beautiful the entire landscape was.
