We arrived just before 9 am and the second row of parking had already started. We set off under overcast skies. We proceeded up the climbers left of the many tracks and quickly reached the base of little arethusa without encountering too many other hikers. As we started up the first sprinkles of rain came. By the time the first ramblers reached the peak the temperature had dropped and the winds picked up. The drizzle continued but not enough to make the footing slippery. Little time was spent on the summit, just to put on additional layers and head back down. There was no lunch at the summit. A light drizzle throughout our lunch in the middle of the cirque. The crowds appeared in the cirque and grew as we hiked back to the cars. The parking lot had 4 rows of cars and it was hard to get out because many cars were entering as we tried to leave. Thanks to all who joined me for the outing. Participants: Jeannette, Clifton, Teresa, John, Jo, Jim, Krystyna, Heather, Judy
