James Walker Creek to northeast cirque Off-Trail hike on 22-Aug-2025

We started out at 10 degrees, jackets on and maintaining a good pace to keep our blood warm and flowing.

After about 20 minutes our first stop was made to do a little delayering and confirm that we were indeed on the correct trail. The first lake we came to was drying out.

. With 2 hours and 30 minutes of walking in increasingly warmer weather we achieved our destination of rolling meadow dotted with rocky outcrops. Some of the Ramblers decided to go to the last 2 tarns

. Counting the sheep was a bit of a contest as we each kept coming up with different numbers.
