The weather for our hike kept changing day by day. Some websites were predicting rain in the morning, and some other were saying rain and thundershowers in the afternoon. We left Mist Creek Day Use parking lot under blue sky and some clouds with the sun peaking out occasionally. It was humid and warm. The trail was wet and muddy, especially lower down. Higher up the trail was dry. We arrived on Mist Ridge around 12:30. It was windy, so we stopped for lunch on the ridge. We were eating lunch in the sheltered spot just below the ridge. We were also observing the sky and the dark clouds all around us. Upon the short discussion we decided to do the loop instead of going back on the same trail. While we were in the forest bushwalking, it started to rain, and we heard the thunder. However, the bad weather did not stay long, and we arrived at the parking lot under blue skies and the sunshine. Thank you to all the participants for joining me for this mountain adventure. Stats: distance about 14 km with the total elevation gain of about 800 m.
