Gravel Bike ride from Madden to Crossfield Mountain bike on 23-Jul-20

Participants: Christine, Jim, Jeannette We started from Madden Community Centre and after a short ride on pavement cycled along the first road allowance of the day. Thanks for Jim informing us that a road allowance is a strip of land approximately 3 km long which is used as a public right of way (usually not maintained) as we found out. This first one was fairly easy-we then connected with gravel roads before our second "road allowance" which had narrow, muddy ruts and a couple of warm pot holes. We then rode on a gravel road that took us to a bike trail thankfully leading to the Donut Man in Crossfield. (This section was 34 km and it took us 4 hours-splash splash). We decided to return via the paved road to Madden. Thanks to Jim and Jeannette Procter for being such tough mud/gravel warriors.
