The Fortress via Headwall Lakes Scramble on 12-Jul-2025
We had a great group of people and enjoyed cooler weather for our hike, which formed a scenic loop starting from the Chester Lake parking lot. We made our way to the Headwall Lakes, ascended The Fortress, and returned via Chester Lake. I recorded a total distance of 18.5 km with 1,100 meters of elevation gain. Special thanks to Ulli and Cordula for their help with route finding.
