Mt Edith - north, centre and south peaks Scramble on 11-Jul-2025
The weather gods have been kind to me this month, as we enjoyed the third scramble in a row with comfortable temperatures, no wind and recent rain to keep the footing soft and dust free. Edith is one of my favorites, having great rock and fun features to navigate through: multiple chimneys, a tunnel and views of Mt. Louis. On route, we passed by a young scrambler climbing it solo and adopted him from the centre to the south peak. Just as when we adopted Stephanie, perhaps he will become the youngest member of the club! I always do my best to promote and recruit. Ingrid would be proud 🙂
Thanks to Simon once again for so many great photos I just couldn't narrow them down, and for our stats: 14.9 km, 1335 m, 8hrs 25 min

Participants: Sim, Pam, Simon, Stephanie, Matthew

Almost 1000 m just to the pass, we now are heading toward the north peak

Chimney to the north peak - so narrow you have to tuck in everything from beside you to behind you

Stephanie stealing the limelight from Mt. Louis ;)

North peak summit: Stephanie, Simon and Matthew (Sim in the background with adopted scrambler, Cam)

Stephanie exiting the chimney, on our way down from the north and over to the centre peak

Once down this somewhat loose gully, you can see the easy path toward the centre peak

Traversing toward the climb up to the centre peak

Looking toward the south peak which, from this angle, looks quite daunting!

Boys on the south summit, including our adoptee, Cam

Stephanie was the only one with the energy to venture further along the ridge
