Another successful Stampede Breakfast was held at the Glenbrook Community Hall today with more than 50 members and guests attending. The pancake cookers were threatened with a very light rain shower which caused some hissing on the grill for a few minutes but we were able to move the grill under the canopy which caused(?) the rain to stop within a couple of minutes. No pancakes were harmed during this incident.
Special thanks goes to the chief organizer, Social Director Barbara whose years of experience and comprehensive checklists led to a smooth operation. She was ably assisted by:
Carmie and Laszlo producing perfectly cooked pancakes supported by the batter chef, Brenda.
Fluffy eggs patiently cooked by David.
The un-sung crew of workers who carried out all the myriad of jobs that needed to be done - Jo, Nancy, Ron, Sarah, Anita and Brenda.
The touch of Alberta (stewed rhubarb and saskatoon berry sauce) was provided by Anita, Carolyn, Sarah and Aldis.
