What a delightful ridge walk!! We parked at the Jumpingpound summit trail and wandered up and down over three peaks before settling down for lunch on the fourth one. This is where the east ridge ends as Moose mountain looms over it on the east side. The ridge has long expanses of meadows where the views are uninterrupted by trees until you descend into a col before another ascent. The ups and downs are very manageable. There is a discernible trail the whole way except for one small section down to a col before the ascent to the fourth peak. A cairn and some ribbons show the way if you notice them.
The weather was superb – not too hot, not too windy. More flowers were blooming than two weeks ago when a group traversed over to Cox hill and down. We had a very enjoyable walk with some contemplating a longer journey next time over to Northwest Moose peak.
