After a couple of hours walking in the stony creek beds of north Canyon creek we started the arduous climb to the peak proper. Only the last part is a nasty mix of short cliffbands and loose ruble. Everyone made it to the top without any problems to enjoy a well earned rest. Unfortunately the extensive views were somewhat marred by a smoky haze. To complete the loop we went down one the best scree runs in the Rockies dropping almost uninterrupted to valley bottom. Back at the cars at 4:20.
