Our small group enjoyed a lovely day in the foothills with sunny skies, nice temperatures and little wind. We didn't see any other hikers, but met several groups of trailriders from the neighbouring ranch throughout the day.

Trailriders

We hiked Carry Ridge, then dropped down to the valley and easily crossed the small creek and bushwhacked up to the high point of Muley Ridge, where we had a lunch with a view of both the foothills and the mountains.

We followed Muley Ridge back to the trailhead.
