Grass Pass, Bull Creek Hills, Fir Crk loop Off-Trail hike on 22-May-2
This ended up being trip #c306, Gunnery Creek to Fir Creek via Grass Pass, instead of c326 as advertised. Under a blanket of clouds, we enjoyed decent enough weather (mostly!) with light winds on one of my favourite spring hikes, aided by a short shuttle between Gunnery and Fir Creek trailheads.
Participants: Nancy, Shirley, Jeannette, Janice, Margo, John, Joanne, Jenny, Lenard, Steve.

The group, minus Steve and Piper the retriever, in upper Gunnery Creek.

An especially colourful example of the many crocus still in bloom in the Gunnery Creek valley.

Starting the ridgewalk south from Gunnery Pass, through open terrain with many windblown trees.

Abundant draba (I think) and shooting stars on the ridge above Gunnery Creek.

Lunch on the south end of the ridge between Gunnery Creek and Grass Pass, under a brief sprinkle of graupel.

The first of the forgetmenots are beginning to pop up in the Grass Pass meadows.

Descending from "Boundary Pine ridge" into Fir Creek.
