Hunchback Hills - SW summit and beyond Off-Trail hike on 19-May-2025

We had a very enjoyable hike wandering along the west Lusk ridge to the pointy peak. Lots of time to chat with each other and sit in the sun out of the wind when we stopped for our lunch break on the pointy peak. This hike was new for four of the participants. Weather conditions were ideal with sun, not too cold wind and no ticks. The 360 degree view does reveal the extent of logging in this area with the new seedlings being about 20cm tall now. Left the cars at 9:45am and returned at 4:00pm with almost an hour of breaks. Distance approximately 12kms and elevation around 800m.

Participants: David, Yolande, Mel, Clifton, Marianne, Christine
