We met at 9 am at base. With low clouds in area entered meadows from top of Strawberry chairlift. Alberta weather with continous changes between nice sun, high cloud and low clouds nearly to ground level. Got quite warm when in sun with temperatures near zero but light wind kept snow from forming crust.
4 to 12 cm of powder on top of crust made for nice turns and easy trailbreaking. After skiing in Quartz bowl area, total of 5 turns runs, returned in bounds for green run ski and beer at Trappers.
2 rode gondola down and 2 skied gully/skiout.
