Sandy McNabb Hills & Long Meadow Trail hike on 23-Mar-2025

The hike along Sandy McNabb hills to the long meadow was very pleasant and enjoyable. Lots of opportunity to chat amongst ourselves and to stop and look at the scenery. Microspikes were required for sections of the trail in the morning until we reached the south facing hillsides. On the return the icy sections had softened so some still wore microspikes while others managed without. Weather conditions were sunny and almost windless in the morning but by 2:00pm a system blew in from the south so there were fewer stops as we headed to the cars.

I thank those who joined me today for their enjoyable company. Distance about 11km; elevation about 330m. Participants: Norman, Yolande (c/s), Sarah, Aldis, Jo, Christine, Heather
