River & Many Springs loop - Bow Valley PP Off-Trail hike on 23-Jan-20
We started from Middle Lake and took the Moraine Trail to Many Springs. The weather was cloudy and very blustery with a temp. of 2 degrees. The trail had a little snow but mostly dry before we arrived at Many Springs which had some trodden snow.
As usual there were many beaver dams and we saw 2 swans. After circumnavigating the lake we headed down to the river path and headed east (wind at our backs, thank goodness). We completed the loop back to Middle Lake and went around it before having lunch at a table in the trees. On our way out of the Park we added the Montane Trail, which was also very dry.
