Sheep River trails - aspen hike Trail hike on 2-Oct-2024

We had a pleasant day in the foothills despite some confusing trails that not only turned us completely in the wrong direction, but also dumped us for a short period in the middle of viewless evergreen forest when the main reason for the trip was to see aspens! But shortly after that the Rambler attitude of "must climb up ridges" kicked in and we easily bushwhacked up to Foran Grade in beautiful sunny weather surrounded by lots of colourful foliage. 24 km and 760m elevation gain.
