It was a busy trail with lots of hiking groups mostly young people heading to the hot springs. After regrouping at the col and adding extra layers we started the climb up to the high point that we reached in time for an early lunch. The cold wind and cloudy skies didn't invite to linger too long so we proceeded south down the ridge , all too soon the ridge drops steeply to the forest below, after a not too long bushwhack we came out on the highway a few minutes from the cars. It took us 5 hours including lunch and breaks to hike at an unhurried pace 7.5 km with 650 m of elevation gain.
