Road bike; 1A hwy from Banff to Castle Junction Road bike on 5-Jun-20

A good day to cycle the parkway, it was not too warm and there was headwind at times to cool us on the hills. On the start of the parkway itself we missed out on seeing some bears which a group 15 minutes ahead of us were shepherded around by Parks staff. After an uneventful ride we had lunch at Castle Junction:

High cloud conditions and a light breeze meant it was not a day to linger. There were views, though, as the clouds were above the peaks and the air was very clear:

It started to clear up on the way back and it was quite warm once the sun came out. Not a lot of wildlife was seen:

plus a marten scampered across the road in front of a couple of us.

Thanks everyone for joining me, there were 3 regular bikes and 5 e-bikes. A special welcome goes to Colleen on her first Rambler trip.

Participants: Christine, Barbara, Gary, Susan, Bill, Inge, Colleen and Ron C/S/P
