Having done this trip last fall i liked it so much i did it again this year. As we were getting ready a young couple left before us on a romantic mission of their own , later we met them at the lake with the young woman having a nice sparkly ring in her finger. As they weren't sure of the way up to the ridge they joined our group for the rest of the hike. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and as we were having lunch a cold drizzle started to fall. Nevertheless we continued down the ridge and unlike last year we went up the very last top. From there it was a fairly steep descent on open forest to rejoin the main trail. Back at the cars at 3:15 and by then as is often the case the weather was significantly better.
