Even though yesterday was the first day of spring, it was a cool start at 11 a.m. with a wind chill of -8.
There was still a fair amount of snow up on Nose Hill and we did come across some ski tracks.
We took turns guiding and pointing out different trail options.
The conversation covered many subjects, including, "is a cornice a sub-category of a snow drift?".
With the right winter, there could be a decent ski tour in some of the valleys that hold the snow.
Towards the last bit of the outing it had warmed up and it finally felt like spring.
Thanks for coming out.
