Cox Hill - winter hike or snowshoe Trail hike on 9-Dec-2022
When we remember the people that came before us, their early challenges, hardships, this brings to mind the "Right Honorable Jean Chretian", from a family of 19 children, surely not a privileged childhood, but one that built his character and strength. It was no easy trail, but one with obstacles, deep snow drifted in areas, route finding at times and maybe a few missteps, no real blunder. Making our way through fresh snow, drifted deeply at times on sections of the hike we also found the path that lead to our ultimate goal. Concentrating on the footsteps, mental focus within, to stay the coarse allowed this.

Damion & Sonja, the pleasure of the effort. With a good lunch break, a little shelter from the breeze that that seemed to hinder us some frolic was had.

The goal we set out too. Off to the decent was certainly easier, allowing for good discussion,of different opinions and all in all how to handle and face some of lifes problems. This brings me back to the Honorable Jean, a colorful character and one of his stories. If I may quote, it goes something like this: "if you have a milk cow and it gets manure on it you don't wipe if off when it is wet, it will just make a mess. You wait tell it dries and just brush it away". I thank those for joining me, to make this a beautful day and enlightening the trail also. Participants: Damian, Sonja, Lenard. Scribe Lenard.
