Ranger Ridge via Fullerton Loop & Bobcat Trail hike on 30-Apr-2022
The Fullerton parking lot was filling rapidly when we arrived at about 9:30 AM, with the promise of good weather bringing all sorts of people and dogs out. The trails were mostly clear of ice and snow with only some muddy sections to remind us the summer has not yet arrived. There has obviously been a lot of deadfall from last November’s wind storm, but everything has already been cleaned up.

Taking a break at Bobcat & Sugar Mama JunctionThe weather varied from being quite pleasant when the sun was out to a little chilly when it was not.

Lined up for lunch While were having lunch at Baruch’s Corner, some hikers arrived and said that they had seen a black bear on Sugar Mama. There were no flowers to speak of yet, but we did see a deer along Sugar Mama, but no bears.
Thanks to Madeleine, Carl, Carmie, June, Douglas, Jennifer, Bill, Enrique, Janet, and Lenard for joining me. Brian C/S/P
