Having been forced to retreat on a previous attempt due to stormy weather i have always wanted to come back and finish the job , specially now that the peak has a name.We made a beeline from the point where we left the trail along the Elbow river to the base of the east ridge , and yes it looks steep and it is.Once in the open it was good going on the usual rubble with a couple of rock bands to negotiate.
Once past the false summit the ridge becomes more interesting with a brief narrow section where care must be taken
The summit affords excellent views and even if the wind felt cool we enjoyed a long break
. Eventually we retraced our steps arriving back at the cars at 5:40.Participants:Gary,Susan,Jeannette,Suzy.Thanks to all for joining me Francisco C/S
