Narao Glades Off-Trail skiing on 24-Feb-2021

The trip did not work out as well as I had hoped for or expected. While there was 6 to 10 inches of new snow it did not cover the plethora of rock hard old tracks in the glades left by an army of young bucks from Canmore. Perhaps the trees have grown a little and erosion has steepen the slopes somewhat. We headed up the Lake O'Hara road and after 2.194 km found a good uptrack following it all the way up to the end of the trees.

We managed to crank some tiurns avoiding small cliffs , bouncing off of buried rock hard old tracks, and dodging the trees.

We went up for another short run staying below the rock bands and had enough fun that we went up and further west for our last and best run slightly more , less steep and fewer old tracks.
