Ranger Summit -Strange Brew loop from W.Bragg Trail hike on 18-Jan-20
To take advantage of the first nice weather in the New Year we headed for Ranger Ridge at West Bragg Creek, heading up Ranger Summit trail, enjoying basking in the sun for lunch at the stone chairs at Baruch's Corner, then down the Strange Brew and Boundary Ridge trails. It was a glorious 10 degree day, and no hat, gloves or jacket were necessary. The trail was alternately bare, packed ice or snow, or slush and puddles, but there was not much snow to begin with so we kept our feet dry all day and our Microspikes handled the conditions well. Wildlife for the day was one grouse. There were quite a few people out and about, more fat tire bikers than hikers.
