Yamnuska traverse (east to west) Scramble on 10-Feb-2016

Thanks to Bill, Inge and Carl for their company on today's hike.  The weather was a mix of sun and cloud with mostly shirt sleeve temperatures; and it was generally not too windy.  Trail conditions were a mix of snow covered patches, icy conditions and completely bare areas. We all used micro spikes at various times during the day.  They made walking on the icy sections very easy.

The CMC Valley looks pretty snow-free right now, and might be an option for people who want a day hike that's relatively close to Calgary. Our total trip time was just under 5 hours, and it was a pleasant +10C back at the car.  We were back in Calgary around 3pm.  Thanks again to Bill, Inge and Carl for another good day in the mountains ........... Arnold, CSP
