Mt Lawrence Grassi 127567 Scramble on 15-Jun-2013

Seven ramblers took a chance on the weather forecast to try this easy scramble. We hiked 2.3 km from the edge of the Goat Creek P/L along the water channel to reach a small cairn and flagging which marked the start of a well defined trail and a 1050m climb to the summit. Scree on slab near the summit was the only challenge encountered. We did see some big horn sheep along the canal but they weren't photogenic enough to include below. A loon did make the cut however. The forecast was pretty good except for two squalls at the summit. Between the squalls we scrambled over to the second peak. One move here was in the “why am I doing this” category, otherwise known as SC6 or 7 but we all survived.

Thanks to Kevin, John, David, Aidan, Chau and Jeanette for joining the c/s Damian on this happily uneventful hike.
