Glenbow Ranch Provincial park Trail Hike on 22-Jan-2012

We enjoyed lovely sunny conditions without wind, starting at about -8 at our leisurely start time of 10:30, and reaching zero by early afternoon.

This park was new to most of us. We first went east along a combination of paved and gravel paths to the top of Scott trail, seeing some deer on the hillsides. We returned on the main Glenbow trail to the intersection with Bowbend trail, where some headed straight back to the parking lot and the rest of us carried on, having lunch in a copse of trees off the trail where the fallen logs provided comfortable seating. Thanks to Madeleine for coordinating this trip, enjoyed by: Bill, Pamela (guest), Denise, Sharon, Mohsen, Francisco, Maria, Sharon (and Isaac the dog) and Barb (p,s).
