Conditions at Skogan are very good. There is a track set trail which becomes intermittent near the pass. We only met one other person going up. The weather was very warm and windy; however, the trail in the trees was wind protected. The descent was very fast. Instead of following the x-cross country ski trail all the way down, Shirley and I connected to the downhill ski trail which, except for one icy section, was a very fast and enjoyable descent route and one that I recommend.

Thanks to Mario, John, Bernie, and Shirley for a really lovely ski day. We finished in the lodge for hot chocolate. (Note: there was a police check stop at the junction of the Nakiska road and hwy 40 the previous Wed.)
