After crossing the first bridge we came to a creek crossing without a bridge. Water not too deep so people opted for a variety of crossing methods. We found a few more bridges but they bridged trickles while the crossings with water had no bridge.
We soon started up the steep ridge on the well-flagged trail. One person felt sick so opted to wait below the ridge and the rest headed up to lunch on the knoll looking at Volcano Ridge to the north.
A light but cool wind met us at the top, dropping the temperature to 14. Great views all around with even a glimpse of Calgary in the distance.
Then it was back down the ridge with short stops to savour the views. Soon we met our ill Rambler and found her much improved. Back on the main trail we stopped for tea break near the first bridge and arrived back at the cars shortly after 3.
