After a short walk on the dusty road we started climbing up a fairly steep slope to the first easterly summit

We took a short break there before a couple of minor bumps in the connecting saddle to the main ridge

900 feet later we were on top of the highest coyote hill.

After a long lunch in pleasant weather we continued north along the ridge

No problems in way back, eventually we picked up the old road in south side of Highwood river. Back to p.l. at 4:15. Thanks to Kim/Ivan and Yoko for the great company. Francisco C/S
